Established in April 2000 by Ton Remmerswaal, Valuation Plus provides valuation and advisory services on property throughout Hawke’s Bay and Central Hawke's Bay – including commercial, industrial, specialised investment, residential, rural lifestyle, and investment flats.
Mel Douglas joined Valuation Plus in 2006 as a registered valuer and rejoined as an associate/ contractor in 2010 after taking maternity leave and working as a property consultant contractor specialising in Public Works taking of land for crown agencies and local Councils.

Ton is in touch with the market through his establishednetwork of contacts and his extensive knowledge of property transactions. Based in our Havlock North office, he is an experienced property professional with over 25 years experience in the private sector (Hawke’s Bay based since 1991).
Ton is a past Branch Chaiman of NZIV/PINZ and since 2007 is the present Councillor for the central region of the NZIV.

Mel is an experienced property professional with over 10yrs experience who joined Valuation Plus in 2006 as a registered valuer and rejoined as an associate/contractor in 2010 after taking maternity leave and working as a property consultant contractor specialising in Public Works taking of land for crown agencies and local Councils, which she is continuing with part time while re-focussing on CHB again.
Based in our Central Hawke’s office, Mel is a general practitioner without equal who covers the range including residential, lifestyle, commercial and industrial as well as valuations for specialised properties or purposes. Mel is a local who returned to CHB in 2004 and now manages a busy family as well as a busy career.
